ISLAMABAD: Media reports claim that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is willing to initiate negotiations with the federal government and sort out the electoral framework. Earlier, the PTI chief Imran Khan had announced to dissolve the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies which ignited chaos in Pakistan’s political scenario.
The reports added that a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that their legal team had briefed PTI that Pakistan would default if elections were announced. Reportedly, the PTI leadership is ready for an election between August and September given that the government shared an economic plan.
Meanwhile, the members of PML-N are suggesting their leadership to not resist the decision of PTI to dissolve the assemblies. The PML-N members believe that early elections are a less challenging factor than Pervez Elahi as chief minister.
