ISLAMABAD: Following the revelation of nearly a dozen Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf lawmakers joining hands with the opposition, Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser to call a sitting of the assembly on March 21 and urged him to do something against the rebels within the PTI ranks in the parliament.
He gave these directions to the speaker in a meeting called at the Prime Minister House yesterday.
On the other hand, some of the PTI ministers are claiming that many MNAs from the opposition are ready to support the PTI on the no-confidence motion. The opposition has expressed concerns that the speaker should be non-partisan and avoid meeting the prime minister since the no-confidence motion against him had been moved already.
It is being reported that Mr Khan wants the PTI turncoats to be dismissed before the D-day.
