ISLAMABAD: The wheels are coming off as the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has once again questioned the neutrality of the military after the latter has refrained from speaking up on the matter. The PDM, on Wednesday, urged the military once again to make its stance clear on the political crisis in the country.
President PDM Maulana Fazlur Rehman warned that any decision other than declaring the Deputy Speaker’s ruling unconstitutional would force the PDM to take the matter to the people’s court.
Maulana is the latest to have asked the military to make its position clear after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the military to come out clean.
An agitated Maulana said that the PDM was ready to fight the battle if the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was asking for a confrontation. He also said that the delay by the Supreme Court was being seen as an encouraging sign by those who ripped apart the Constitution.
