KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange recorded gains on Wednesday as the market remained up by 802.72 points. The KSE-100 index gained 870.01 points and closed at 45,499.46 points.
According to Muhammad Faizan, Head of Foreign Institutional Sales, the market gain was seen due to positive response by IMF and better condition of current account deficit.
Intermarket Securities Executive Director Raza Jafri was satisfied with the performance. “It was a relief really after the multiple stresses of the past few weeks. We have moved closer to the International Monetary Fund programme and there is an expectation that the episode of recent political noise will be resolved amicably,” he said.
