ISLAMABAD: A slight increase in Covid-19 cases has been recorded in Pakistan. Compared to yesterday’s number 1,232, 1,455 people have tested positive for coronavirus during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 18 more people died because of the virus. According to the stats tweeted by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 42,396 people were tested for Covid-19, resulting in a positivity rate of 3.4 per cent.
Sindh reported 656 positive cases followed by Punjab with 324 cases and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 251 cases. Islamabad had 119 coronavirus cases, while Balochistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan collectively reported 105 cases. The NCOC also shared the number of patients currently needing critical care. The number stands at 1,220 at the moment.
