Speaking to HUM TV in an exclusive interview, the key-leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Pervez Elahi revealed that the PPP and PDM alliance had enough numbers to dismiss the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the government should be ready for surprises that await it on the no-confidence voting day.
All eyes are set on the PML-Q as it will play an important role in determining whether the government will stay intact or be dismissed. Holding five seats in the National Assembly, it is being pursued by both the opposition and the government for its support at the upcoming no-confidence voting.
Elahi corroborated the claims of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari stating that the opposition had the support of more than 172 MNAs to dismiss the Khan government.
He blamed the government for the precarious position it finds itself in, stating that the government never tried to build harmonious relations with anyone. He added that it was also the reason why the government’s own MNAs were left disgruntled.
