LONDON: The Broadsheet CEO Kaveh Moussavi, in a video interview with Geo News, apologised to the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for “being party to a scam”, stating that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ran a witch-hunt against Nawaz at the whims of previous regimes.
Moussavi claims that Broadsheet found ill-gotten wealth linked to others but not a single rupee of corruption was found against Nawaz. Interestingly, he had accused the Sharif family last year of trying to bribe him and had claimed that he had several proofs of corruption against Nawaz.
He blamed the NAB for trying to get Nawaz implicated in corruption scandal. “NAB is a fraud through and through,” he said. When asked what changed his views now, he said that the facts had reshaped his opinions.
