KARACHI: According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong monsoon system has entered Sindh from India. The Met Office added that different parts of the province would receive heavy rainfall in the next two days. Director Met Office Sardar Sarfraz said that the new rain system would also enter Balochistan.
Moderate to heavy rain will fall in Karachi on August 24 and August 25. Other areas of Sindh could also receive rainfall including Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sukkur, Larkana, and Khairpur. Heavy downpour is expected in the North-East and South districts of Balochistan.
Flash floods can occur in areas like Dadu, Jamshoro, and Shahdadkot. Other areas where flash flood is expected include Lakkir Marwat, Karak, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sibbi, Bolan, Sherani, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Barkhan, Loralai, and Qilla Saifullah.
