DUBAI: India’s Test and T20I captain Virat Kohli has labelled the upcoming match against Pakistan as ‘just another game’ for the men in blue ahead of the arch rivals meeting on October 24.
While talking to the media, the star captain said, “I have always approached this game as just another game of cricket. I know there is a lot of hype created around this game more so with ticket sales and the demands for tickets.”
On the other hand, the all-format captain of the Pakistan men’s national team, Babar Azam is confident of maintaining the winning streak in UAE, as the team is undefeated in the last 10 T20 internationals.
Babar acknowledges the fact that Pakistan are yet to defeat India in a World Cup game, but remains hopeful that the UAE conditions will highly favour them [Pakistan] to change the history.
“Definitely we have played a lot of cricket in the UAE,” Azam said. “These conditions suit us and we know how to play here. We need to keep things simple in all the departments,” he added.
