ISLAMABAD: A mass contact campaign has been announced by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to mobilise voters and workers across Pakistan. The campaign will begin on February 18 to gather the strength for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab’s local body elections. The drive aims to inform the public about initiatives and upcoming mega-developments by the government.
During the campaign, the party has planned four massive public gatherings starting from Mandi Bahauddin, where the prime minister will address the public. Next, Prime Minister Imran Khan will move the drive to South Punjab and address the citizens of Rahim Yar Khan and Multan.
The party has also planned a rally in Sindh, Tharparkar and multiple cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The second phase of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s local body elections has been moved after Ramadan. Peshawar High Court made the decision due to the unfavourable weather forecast. Punjab local body election is scheduled for May.
