LAHORE: The vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Maryam Nawaz Safdar retracted her stance of letting the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf complete five years in the government, stating that the incumbent government should be dismissed at any cost. She was talking to the reporters outside the residence of the injured MPA Bilal Yasin.
Yasin had been injured in a gun attack by the rival faction on December 31.
Maryam attributed the change in her stance to the misery of the people, stating that she could not watch the people suffer anymore. It is pertinent to mention here that Maryam was of the opinion previously that the PTI should complete its five-year tenure so as to expose itself.
However, when a question regarding a no-confidence motion moved against the government was posed to her yesterday, she said that the government should be sent packing by any means. She also criticised the government for its alleged negligence in the Murree tragedy that saw 22 people lose lives in freezing cold weather.
