LONDON: Finance minister of Pakistan during the last PML-N tenure, wanted in multiple cases, absconder Ishaq Dar revealed that he was returning to Pakistan. He said that decision had been made on directives from the party chief Nawaz Sharif.
Dar told journalists that he would return to Pakistan in July, sometime during the fourth week.
The senior member of PML-N said that the doctors had permitted him to travel. He added that lawyers would apply for protective bail. Dar called the cases against him a result of ‘political victimisation’.
Dar won the Senator seat in the 2018 elections. But he did not take the oath and decided to stay in London. However, he has now said to take the oath upon his arrival in Pakistan.
