ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid revealed on Thursday that he was not aware of the details of the second agreement between the federal government and Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), stating that he only knew the details of the first agreement.
However, the minister maintained that he had always wanted the government to have a dialogue with the TLP. He also stated that people would know about the details of the deal once they came to light.
When asked whether the upcoming months were going to be difficult for the government, Rashid said that nothing was going to happen.
Rashid had also revealed earlier that the TLP chief Saad Rizvi wanted the French Embassy close down in Pakistan permanently.
Opposition members have raised questions about the details of the agreement with the TLP. But Rashid maintains that the opposition was doing politics for TV audiences.
