Former prime minister Imran Khan, while addressing a massive public rally, in Dir on Saturday asked the powers that be as to why did they not stop the conspiracy against Pakistan. Khan reiterated his long-held opinion that his government was removed after a conspiracy was hatched by the United States.
Khan demanded of the US to sack Donald Lu (the diplomat who allegedly conveyed the message from the US to Pakistani ambassador) immediately. Khan did not shy away from criticising the military indirectly, stating that the defenders of the country should have done their duty of protecting the country instead of choosing to remain neutral.
Khan has been speaking more openly about the role of Establishment and Army in the vote of no-confidence lately. He recently warned the establishment that if it did not take the right decisions, Pakistan would have to pay its cost.
