ABU DHABI: The Super 12 round of the ICC T20 World Cup has begun in Abu Dhabi with two Group 1 double-headers scheduled to take place on Saturday. The first game will see Australia and South Africa locking horns with each other.
Both come into the World Cup as ‘underdogs’ who are yet to win the coveted T20 World Cup trophy.
Australia playing XI comprises Aaron Finch (captain), David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, and Josh Hazlewood.
On the other hand, South Africa final XI features Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma (captain), Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi.
Meanwhile, the finalists of the previous edition – England and West Indies – will battle it out at the Dubai International Stadium tonight at 7pm (PST).
England have announced their playing XI, comprising Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Tymal Mills, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, David Willey, Chris Woakes, and Mark Wood.
West Indies final 12 men squad features Kieron Pollard (captain), Dwayne Bravo, Roston Chase, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Akeal Hosein, Evin Lewis, Obed Mccoy, Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Rampaul, Andre Russell, Lendl Simmons, Oshane Thomas, and Hayden Walsh.
