KARACHI: A 40-year-old woman named Tahira was stabbed to death by her husband, Atiq, here in Usmanabad on Monday following an argument between the couple. According to media reports, the body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the Civil Hospital.
The family lived nearby the Pakistan Hotel in an apartment. According to the police officials, the suspect used a sharp tool to kill his wife. He stabbed the woman repeatedly in abdomen which resulted in blood loss.
According to the details that have emerged, the victim used to work and earn for herself and her two daughters. The daughters were rescued from the scene by the neighbours who went into check in on the victim after they heard screams.
The daughters told the police officials that their father, after killing the mother, ran away from the scene. The suspect is currently at large and the police has vowed to arrest the culprit soon.
