CALIFORNIA: After being in the ‘safe mode’ for around three weeks, NASA engineers have activated the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) of the Hubble Space Telescope. Four instruments are still not activated, and the team is working to resolve the issues.
During the safe mode, engineers can continue the repairing operation while the mission remains stable and takes power from solar panels.
Apparently, a synchronisation error caused the Hubble Telescope to go under safe mode since October 23.
However, the team was optimistic that there were no additional complex issues and soon the mission would resume its operations.
