ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi got released from Kot Lakhpat jail after a reference about removing his name from the Fourth Schedule and detention was withdrawn in the Supreme Court’s federal review board.
Saad Hussain Rizvi was named in the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act on April 16, but after the exclusion of TLP from the First schedule, his name was taken off of the list on November 10.
The TLP head was arrested on April 12 for planning a protest against the government, and a first information report (FIR) was launched against him subsequently.
