PESHAWAR: Senator, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has said that the government would launch the ‘Ehsaas Rashan programme’, aiming to provide relief to the poor citizens.
During her visit to the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Peshawar, the SA briefed that they had identified around 20 million families which would benefit directly from the programme. The initiative will facilitate 53 per cent population of the country by providing a subsidy of Rs. 1,000 on purchasing cooking oil, pulses, and flour.
The authorities with NBP have developed a digital sales system enabling the users to access Kiryana stores affiliated with NBP.
