"Google Bard" Google Has Finally Unveiled Its Chat GPT Rival

Google has finally nabbed and announced a ChatGPT competitor called Bard – an experimental conversational AI service that will be released to the public in the coming weeks.

Like ChatGPT, the chatbot promises to answer complex questions and teach you in-depth topics in a conversational style. But the main difference with ChatGPT for now is that Bard is connected to the internet, so it can give you what Google claims(opens in a new tab) are fresh and high quality answers.

Google’s Bard is powered by LaMDA (short for Language Model for Dialogue Applications). Like ChatGPT, it is a type of machine learning called a big language model that has been trained on a huge dataset and is able to understand human language as it is written.

Google says Bard will be open to “trust testers” starting today, but the public will be able to start using it in the coming weeks. Exactly how we’ll access Bard in these early stages is unclear, but Google says its AI-powered capabilities will “be starting to roll out Google Search soon.”
