QUETTA: The capital of Balochistan faces a major flour crisis as per kilogram rate of flour has reached Rs160. The city is facing an alarming shortage of basic food commodities. A 10-kilogram flour bag is currently selling at Rs1,600. According to the flour mills association, there is a daily requirement of 25,000 bags of wheat for 18 mills of Quetta.
The mills association has given the warning that if wheat is not provided in the mills, the flour will disappear from the market within days. The food department of Balochistan has said that by January 10, the mills will receive wheat, and the price of flour will drop in the market.
