Dubai: The first female Education Director of Saudi Arabia woman, Manal Al Lahibi, took hold of her position in Jeddah where she took an inspection tour of multiple schools. A video clip of Manal among students and teachers went viral where she can be seen engaging in school activities.
She observed the exercises that the students participated in and addressed the teachers regarding the importance of their role. Manal Al Lahibi highlighted that students learn from the seriousness, discipline, and organisation of their teachers and it’s important to teach them values, morals, and tolerance.

Al Lahibi also took part in distributing course material to students and attended several classroom sessions.
Her appointment holds historic significance as Saudi Minister of Education, Yousef Al Benyan, decided to appoint her as Director General of Education in Jeddah which made her the first woman to hold the position. She advocated for enhanced academic performance and promoting the culture of reading. Manal has contributed to numerous academic conferences.
