WELLINGTON: A homicide inquiry has been launched in Auckland after a family found the dead bodies of two children in a storage locker which they bought from an online auction.
According to the details, a local family bought an unclaimed storage locker without seeing what was inside. The family found the dead bodies while they were trying to see the components inside.
The dead children were aged between 5 and 10 years and police said that they seemed to be dead for quite some time. The family that purchased the locker had no connection with the bodies.
Police have not provided any more details about the deceased. However, Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia, said that it’s possible both had families in New Zealand. However, the families of the dead children are yet to be identified.
