Popular social media platform and Meta-owned application, Facebook, has released the earning report for 2022 fourth quarter (Q4). According to the report, the daily active users of Facebook reached to two billion mark. The increment users show a 4 per cent year-on-year growth. Since its launch, 20 years ago, Facebook has achieved a record number of daily active users.
CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg in his statement said that progress in the AI discovery engine and the popularity of Reels played a vital role in achieving 2 billion active users. Currently, the active user base stood at 2.96 billion. In the third quarter of 2022, the active monthly users were at 2.93 billion.
Despite positive news for Facebook on the active users and revenue front, Meta is struggling on the Reality Labs side. According to media reports, the Reality Labs of Meta had to bear a loss of $13.7 billion in the year 2022.
