LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to his Twitter account on Monday to announce that he had placed a complete ban on the sugar exports to mitigate the impending sugar crisis following high demand among the locals.
He further added that strict action will be taken against those found involved in the hoarding and smuggling of sugar.
Given the domestic demand, I have ordered a complete ban on the export of sugar. There will be a strict action against smuggling & hoarding. Absolutely zero tolerance for those found negligent in their duties.

According to the details shared by Radio Pakistan, the ban has been placed owing to meet the local demands and bring down the skyrocketing sugar prices.
