ISLAMABAD: Educational institutes across Islamabad were immediately shut down amid terror attacks threat on the capital. News sources claim that a banned organisation has planned to launch multiple ‘terror attacks’ on different educational institutes in Islamabad including schools, colleges and universities.
According to sources, the threat alert suggested that female suicide bombers – part of banned organisations, would carry out terrorist attacks during January 22-24. Following the high-security alert, educational activities in Islamabad were cancelled and authorities shut down all schools across the capital governed by Bahria, Air and National Defence.
The immediate closure directives were issued in schools and universities particularly established in the F-6, F-7 and F-8 sectors.

The police officials released a statement about the security arrangements in the capital. The statement claimed to arrange firm security measures and has advised to avoid any election rallies and public gatherings in the federal capital.
