KARACHI: On Monday, the value of Pakistani rupee continued to nosedive in the interbank market after dollar gained Rs0.65 in value. The greenback traded at Rs203, while in the open market it touched a value between Rs 204-207.
Earlier on Friday, the devaluation of the rupee occurred at 12:10 PM when the dollar gained Rs1.73 and traded at Rs206 in the open market and reached Rs202.50 in the interbank market.
On the other hand, the stock market remained under pressure. The PSX opened with a loss of 525 points in the benchmark index. As per the last update, the market traded at 41,488 points, after dropping down from 42,013 points.
