KARACHI: On Tuesday, the local currency continued to gain value against the greenback as the dollar depreciated by Rs1.63 against the rupee in the interbank market.
The dollar traded at Rs181.30 during the early trading hours and stood at Rs183 in the open market. On Monday, the rupee closed at Rs182.93. Economic analysts said that ease in political scenarios and the transition of power to the new government have aided the recovery of rupee’s value.
