KARACHI: On Friday, a blast took place in Mehmoodabad, which injured at least three people. The blast occurred in a sewerage line of the area.
According to Station House Officer Aijaz Pathan, the accumulation of gases became the prime reason for the blast in a sewerage line. The blast also damaged a mechanic shop, added the SHO.
According to the Edhi foundation, the injured were identified as John, Dilawar and Bilal. All the injured were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
A team of bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene to carry further investigation. A similar incident took place on December 18, when a blast in a drain in Shershah, Paracha Chowk resulted in 17 deaths.
