PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a heartfelt plea for unity and decisive action against terrorism following the tragic martyrdom of policemen in the Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Friday night. Emphasising the urgency of collaboration between federal and provincial governments, Bilawal stressed the importance of eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the nation.
In his statement on Sunday, the PPP chairman reiterated that the complete annihilation of terrorists and their breeding grounds remains a paramount national duty. He urged all stakeholders to unite in this crucial endeavour, emphasising the collective responsibility towards national security.
While expressing deep sorrow over the loss of DSP Gul Muhammad Khan and his two guards, Naseem Gul and Salamat Khan, in the Lakki Marwat attack, Bilawal hailed their bravery and sacrifice. He lauded them as national heroes, emphasising the pride the nation takes in their unwavering commitment to combat terrorism.
The call for unity against terrorism gains even greater significance in light of recent attacks, including the assault on a Chinese convoy in the Besham town of KP’s Shangla district. Bilawal’s plea serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing threats posed by terrorism and the critical need for collective action to confront and neutralise these threats effectively.
