ISLAMABAD: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Ahmed held a meeting in Dhaka on Monday wherein the Bangladeshi prime minister showed eagerness for better trade relations between the two countries.
In the last 11 months, it was second such meetup between the Bangladeshi prime minister & Pakistan’s high commissioner. According to the foreign office, Sheikh Hasina might also visit Pakistan in future. The schedule, however, is yet to be decided.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan invited her back in July 2019. Sheikh Hasina has recently acknowledged the invitation in writing.
The foreign office said that Mr Siddiqui had forwarded the prime minister’s message of goodwill.
