KARACHI: On Thursday, the State Bank of Pakistan said the remittances in March increased by 28.3 per cent compared to the previous month. A total of $2.8 billion were received in March as remittances. In the first nine months of FY2022, the remittances reached $23 billion.

According to the data by the central bank, the highest amount in remittances came from Saudi Arabia with $678mn followed by the United Arab Emirates with $515mn. From the United Kingdom, $410mn came in form of remittances, while from the United States of America $300mn were sent by the overseas Pakistanis.
