ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s premier leg-spinner in Tests, Yasir Shah, has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) for aiding in rape and harassing a 14-year-old girl.
The case was registered here at the Shalimar Police Station. According to the FIR, Yasir’s friend Farhan raped the girl and video recorded the ordeal. Farhan, according to the girl, raped her at gun-point.
Yasir was named in the FIR for harassing the girl after she opened up to him about the events that transpired, with the centrally-contracted player threatening the girl of dire consequences if she tried to register a complaint anywhere.
According to the complainant, Yasir also told her that he liked underage girls. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has said that it would only comment on the issue once it has gathered complete facts.
