Northern areas of Pakistan have received the first snowfall of winter 2022, after which the temperature scale has dropped below zero in most cities.
Cities that received heavy snowfall included Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Astore, and Ghanche. Naran, Kaghan, Abbottabad, and Neelam Valley were among the spots where cold weather has set its feet.
Over two-inch snowfall has fallen in Nathia Gally, Ayubia, and Thandiyani. Azad Kashmir and Mansehra are also under the snow blankets. Meanwhile, several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have received heavy rainfall. According to the Met department, the rainfall will continue for several days.
