A 21-year-old vlogger popularly known as The Spicy Travel Girl, Arbela Arpi, was ganged-raped by her host in Fort Munro, Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan). According to her statement, she was sexually assaulted by the travel guide Shehzad and his companion Muzamil Sipra.
She added that the perpetrator taped the videos of the assault and threatened her not to report the case. However, the Border Military Police (BMP) registered the case and arrested Muzamil.
The Deputy Commissioner of DG Khan said that Arbela was living in Pakistan for the past seven months and was travelling from Karachi. He added that she spent two days at one of the defendant’s residences in Rajanpur before heading to Fort Munro.
The BMP registered the FIR under sections 376 and 292 of the Pakistani Penal Code and detained three suspects. The BMP official said Arpi’s medical examination revealed that she had been raped. The accused would be shifted to Lahore for DNA testing.
