From PM Imran to cricket legends, Twitter hails fighting effort of Pakistan cricket team

The classic match-saving effort from the Pakistan cricket team in the Karachi Test has earned them praise from the cricketing fraternity. From Prime Minister Imran Khan to veterans and critics of the game, all applauded the performance of Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Abdullah Shafique.

Mr Khan hailed the captain’s innings from Babar and congratulated wicketkeeper batter Rizwan and opening-batter Abdullah on their fighting effort.

Cricket Australia, England cricket legend Michael Vaughan, Indian cricket analyst Vikrant Gupta, and former Sri Lankan cricketer-turned expert Russel Arnold were left amazed after witnessing one of the greatest Test knocks in a rearguard.

Veteran Indian cricket commentator and analyst Harsha Bhogle and top leg-spinner Rashid Khan also extended their wishes to team Pakistan.
