During an exchange of fire with militants, around 10 soldiers embraced martyrdom in Balochistan’s Kech district. The news was confirmed on Thursday by the military, however, the incident occurred between Tuesday-Wednesday night.
The Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that one terrorist was killed while three were apprehended and a further search was in process. The media wing of the army said that terrorists would be eradicated from Pakistan at any cost.
Two security officials were martyred in the same area two months ago. In Tump area, two soldiers were martyred by terrorists and a soldier passed away in Jani Khel, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a crossfire.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, in his January 21 statement, had said that the army would continue its fight against terrorism until its complete elimination.
