QUETTA: Two police officers were martyred, and 24 people sustained injuries in the suicide attack here in Baleli. The attack occurred near the truck of Balochistan Constabulary truck. According to reports, four civilians and 20 police officials got injured. Ghulam Azfar, DIG Quetta, said that 25 kilograms of explosives were used for the attack.
Frontier Corps officers and Levies cordoned off the area. Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo condemned the attack and sought a report of the incident from the chief of the provincial police. He also expressed sorrow for the casualties and prayed for the recovery of injured citizens.
PTI leader Asad Umar also condemned the horrific incident and prayed for the deceased souls.
