RAWALPINDI: On Saturday, a soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in the crossfire with terrorists. The incident took place in Shewa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in its statement, shared the details of the unfortunate incident. A group of terrorists opened fire on the military post. In reply, the deployed soldiers counter-fired during which Naik Noor Merjan was martyred.

According to the ISPR, an operation was subsequently carried out to ensure the elimination of terrorists in the area.

This is the third such case reported this month. On December 14, a soldier was martyred at the Pak-Iran border. Later on December 24, Abdul Faith and Lance Naik Manzar Abbas laid their lives in Kech, Balochistan, during a firing exchange with terrorists.
