KARACHI: Sindh Police has decided to take the help of technology to tackle the rising street crime rate in Karachi and has launched the Talash App to prevent crimes.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon launched the app and said that it would help to prevent crime. According to the briefing by IGP, the application has data of 1.5 million criminals in Sindh along with the record of police officers.
The app is also capable of checking fake number plates and driving licences. IGP added that it could also track the suspects on bail. The first phase of the app is launched in Karachi.
