Sikh pilgrims receive visas for the 552nd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued visas to 3,000 Sikh pilgrims of India for the 552nd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak starting from Nov 17, following the Pak-India agreement of 1974 related to visiting the sacred places.

According to Pakistan High Commission, the pilgrims will visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur and the sacred Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib during their stay in Pakistan.

The commission has also sent its best wishes to the Sikh community for the 552nd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.

Other than India, the Sikh community residing in other parts of the world will also visit Pakistan on the holy occasion.
