PESHAWAR: Federal Minister of Science and Technology Shibli Faraz came under attack while he was in Darra Adam Khel town.
Protestors attacked the federal minister’s car, in which he remained safe, but his driver suffered injuries.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Kohat, some groups were carrying protests against the local body elections.
The protests got out of hand with the protesters attacking the minister’s vehicle with stones. His security guard and driver sustained injuries.
Minister Information Fawad Chaudhry claimed that assailants opened fire at Shibli’s car. He tweeted the news, condemning the attack. He wrote that driver was taken to the hospital.
