Sheikh Rasheed hands Parliament House security to FC & Rangers on no-trust voting day

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, Sheikh Rashid, Minister of Interior Affairs, announced to hand over the Parliament House, old MNA residencies, and Parliament Lodges’ security to Frontier Corps (FC) and Rangers during the voting on the no-confidence motion.

Earlier, over 10 members of Ansarul Islam and four legislators were arrested from Parliament Lodges during a police raid last night. Ansarul Islam acts as a volunteer security force for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl.

During the press conference, Rashid warned the opposition to not resort to unconstitutional means or they would be ‘trampled’. He added that no one would be allowed entry in the federal capital in militia dresses and would not spare those who tried to do so.

According to Rashid, the opposition was trying to create anarchy because they had sensed at the upcoming vote of no-confidence motion.
