Four-times F1 champion Sebastian Vettel decides to retire from F1 racing

Sebastian Vettel, the four-time Formula One World champion, has decided to part ways with F1 racing. On Thursday, he announced his retirement from the racing sport. Sebastian will say farewell to the racing track at the end of the season 2022.

Sebastian started his career in the US Grand Prix 2007 with BMW. Over the years he represented Toto Rosso and Red Bull and became the youngest world champion in F1 history at the age of 23. He has won 53 Grand Prix races and stands right behind Lewis Hamilton (103 victories) and Micheal Schumacher (91 victories). Vettel remained champion for consecutive four years, from 2010 to 2013.

The star-racer said that the decision was difficult, however, he took the decision after thorough thinking. Sebastian added that now his family would be his priority. He also thanked the fans for making F1 a successful sport.

Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Lawrence Stroll, the brand Sebastian is currently related to, said that they would give the racer a memorable send-off as the Abu Dhabi 2022 Grand Prix will mark his 300th race.
