KARACHI: The schedule of the Pakistan Super League’s eighth edition (PSL 8) is expected to be announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board tomorrow. According to sources, the board is in discussions with the franchises today.
While confirmed details are yet to be received, it is expected that the PCB will host the PSL 8’s inauguration ceremony in Multan. It had been previously reported that the Board could look to move the curtain-raiser to Karachi due to poor weather conditions in Punjab.
The tournament will begin from the Feb 13 and last till March 19 with the Play-Offs and the Final to be played in Lahore’s iconic Qaddafi Stadium according to PSL 8 Schedule. Lahore Qalandars are the reigning PSL champions and are expected to begin the defense of their title against Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans.

Pakistan cricket’s showcase event will be played across four different venues in the country – Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi. Despite the current Board’s earlier announcement, no matches will be hosted in Quetta’s Bugti Stadium this year.
