Saudi interior minister lands in Pakistan

The Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif was welcomed by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed – his Pakistani counterpart – at the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi here on Monday. Naif is in the country on what is said to be a day-long visit.

According to the APP, interior secretary Yousaf Naseem and other key members were also present alongside Rashid who received Naif and his delegation. Radio Pakistan has shared the purpose of the visit and said that Naif would be holding meetings with interior minister, the prime minister, and the president of the country.

Radio Pakistan also reported that matter of expat Pakistanis languishing in Saudi jails would also be discussed in the meeting. Rashid made the announcement of him receiving Naif and his delegation on Twitter on Monday noon.
