On Tuesday, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar inaugurated the Rescue 1122 service expansion to 79 tehsils. In the first phase, 11 tehsils were provided 22 ambulances at a ceremony at the chief minister’s office.
Initially, the tehsils, where the service has been expanded, include Jalapur Pirwala, Darya Khan, Pindi Bhattian, Renala Khurd, Kahror Pakka, Quaidabad, Nurpur, Nowshera Virkan, Narang Mandi, Safdarabad, Sharqpur Sharif. A 29-member staff with two ambulances has been allocated in each tehsil.
Buzdar said that the expansion would provide emergency services on time. He added that by June all 79 tehsils would be equipped with rescue stations and emergency services.
