On Friday, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry announced to file a reference for the interpretation of Article 63 (A). The article deals with the disqualification of MNA based on defection cases.
Chaudhry tweeted that they would ask the Supreme Court for a legal opinion on the voting status of a member who challenges the allegiance and is found involved in horse-trading. He added that a request for a daily hearing would also be made.

The announcement came after the revelation that dozens of disgruntled PTI MNAs were staying in Sindh House, Islamabad.
