Early morning rain and cold winds have brought back cold weather in the provincial capital of Punjab, Lahore, and its adjoining areas. In the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Office has predicted more rain. Various cities of Punjab also received rain which includes Narrwal, Patuki, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Muridke, Kandian, Sangla Hill, Kamalia, Kala Shah Kaku, Farooqabad and their adjoining cities.
The Met Department has predicted light rain, wind, thunderstorm and snowfall in North Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Potohar region. Other parts of the country will remain cold and dry.
Meanwhile, the westerly winds will enter the country by the evening or night of February 28. These westerly winds will spread to the upper and central regions of the country by March 1. The condition will remain the same until March 2.
Rain with gusty winds, thundershowers and snowfall is expected in Murree, Galiat, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Siddhnoti, Kotli, Bhambar, Mirpur, Gilgit-Baltistan, Diamir, Astor, Ghazar, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ga Nache, Shagar, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Haripur and Abbottabad.
A similar situation is likely to be expected in different areas of Islamabad, the Potohar region, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
