Punjab police flagrantly violates court orders to hold operation at Zaman Park

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: With the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan on his way to the federal capital to appear before the Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal, the Punjab police have allegedly violated the court orders by holding an operation at the former prime minister’s Lahore residence, Zaman Park.

Khan has already been granted protective bail by the courts. He took to Twitter to share the latest development, stating that Punjab Police led an assault at his Lahore residence where Bushra Begum – the wife of Khan – is alone at the moment.

Khan has accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif of being behind every move that is set to remove Khan from his way of coming into power. The official handle of the PTI posted a video, accusing the Punjab police of entering inside the Zaman Park where Bushra Begum is alone along with servants.

The leadership of the PTI has condemned the incident while the PDM government is keeping mum about the issue.
